Sony Ericsson has recently announced the launch of a long awaited series of new devices including the XPERIA™ X2, the XPERIA™ X10 and the Satio™.

ustwo™ produced these emotive ‘in-phone’ videos for the high end devices: XPERIA™ X2 XPERIA™ X10 Satio™

The videos were designed to show off the awesome screen quality and video experience of these Sony Ericsson phones, plus be engaging, innovative and have a “wow” factor that makes people want to show them to their friends! We think we achieved that…

ustwo™ – driven by its mission to ‘make products smile’ – worked with directors Chris Sweeney and Ross Cooper/ Bugsy Steel, to create a unique visual concept for each of the three devices.

ustwo™ has been working on a set of pre-loaded panels for the highly anticipated Sony Ericsson XPERIA™ X2 phone (due to be released in November 2009). The panels, Growing Panel and Pixel City, were both conceptualised, designed and developed by ustwo™ on behalf of Sony Ericsson.

The Growing Panel is an ever-evolving plant that organically metamorphosizes throughout the day depending on your phone’s activity. Budding flowers represent new calls, messages and emails, animals let you know you’ve missed a call, and a wilting plant shows your battery level.

Pixel City moves through a cityscape, its different elements linking to the functionality of your phone. Text messages appear playfully on billboards, calendar events arrive by train, a passing aeroplane shows your call history and much more.

ustwo™ has been working with the Sony Ericsson Content and Service department to create a new set of emotional icons for their multi-media messaging service.

The series of icons are based around a cute animated character created by ustwo™ illustrators. The character can help express pretty much any emotion – from anger to confusion, love, nervousness, etc. They can also act as a stand alone message to say you want to hug, wish a happy birthday, rock-out, take a photo, throw up, and much more. The icons will be available on all new Sony Ericsson handsets.

The icons are part of ustwo’s ongoing collaboration with Sony Ericsson as a provider of themes and graphics.
